Reyanna is a 15 year old freshman at Firestone High School in Akron, OH. On December 18, 2015, She was re-diagnosed with Leukemia after being “cancer-free” for four months. Reyanna will need a bone marrow transplant in the near future to achieve our goal of becoming cancer free again. We are currently looking for a match (donor). Register to see if you’re a match
She was first diagnosed at the tender age of 12, on Good Friday (March 29, 2013). Throughout the first bout Reyanna maintained her academics, continued to participate in cheerleading, volleyball, basketball and track- excelling in everything while enduring numerous doctor visits, regular spinal taps and chemotherapy. January, 11, 2016 Reyanna faced a serious life-threatening surgery that we had no time to prepare for, unrelated to, but worsened by the cancer. She overcame all odds and bypassed ICU. Reyanna is a warrior! She continues to walk by faith and stun the doctors predictions. She also recently cut off her hair (FOR THE 2ND TIME)… Even though she is feeling down about it, she is gorgeous with or without hair!!!
Many people have been asking for information on how they can help, which is why this gofundme was created. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Please keep Reyanna in your thoughts and prayers during this hard time.Visit Reyanna’s GO FUND ME PAGE
With how much Reyanna has already achieved in life we are optimistic that this is just one more chapter in her book. Along with her sports she is a great friend to so many, a role model-honor roll student, an awesome sister to 5, and a hero to so many.
As Reyanna is fighting Leukemia, we are asking everyone we know to send a “card” filled with get well wishes & messages. Our goal is to have 1,000 cards sent. Please send all cards to
PO BOX 22155, Akron, OH 44302

I hate when people are going through a rough time... It is so hard to comfort them. Especially, when there is absolutely nothing you can do or say to make them feel any better. They say that God gives His toughest battles to His strongest soldiers. Although there are no words to make you feel better... Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily (often multiple times a day). God must really have a huge plan for you because nothing is fair about what you are going through. In time, I pray the Lord will comfort you, heal your heart & help you to understand why you had to endure this pain. I love you... Fell free to ...Read More
Woke up this morning with my hands clenched so tight that my nails were cutting into my skin. My body is so site from the overall reality of this situation and this uncomfortable hospital couch/bed. But as I glance over at my baby I once again thank God for his grace love and mercy! We are here it isn't the best day but is certainly better than yesterday. I'm looking forward to speaking with the doctors soon as they make their rounds. I've made a list of questions and Rey has a few also. Immediately I'm thinking about my other kids. Reggie came up here late last night with the intention of spending the night with her but close to ...Read More
Write something... smh. This night has been crazy. I don't wish this on anyone especially a child with such big dreams and plans. I could write a book about this journey I swear. I've learned so much about cancer and medicines and procedures that I really never wanted to know! But at 12 years old Reyanna Lashea was fascinated and decided this is exactly what she wants to do in life. She maintained her honor roll with any activity she was allowed to do while battling Leukemia. And my baby became my hero. She'd rather go to church than anything else. She probably won't remember but she told me today she saw wings behind Pastor Maceo on Sunday. (She said ...Read More
