12 Year Old Shot Walking Down The Street

Akron, OH – A 12-year-old boy was walking down the street (by Brown and Cross Street) when he noticed a black car pulling up on him. The car looked suspicious, so he ran an that’s when he heard gunshots.

He told the police he began to feel pain in his ankle, and that is when he realized he was shot. He was taken to the Akron Children’s Hospital, where he was treated for his non-life threatening wound.

This happened around 1:00 a.m. this morning, and the boy describes the car as being black. No other information has been given at this time.
