This is the type of story that I hate to report on… but we need to spread awareness, because children are really losing their lives behind being bullied (whether it’s suicide or murder).
Colleton County, South Carolina: A beautiful 10 year old little girl (RaNiya Wright), who had the rest of her life to live, died from injuries she sustained from a fight at school (Forest Hills Elementary). The fight happened on Monday 3-25-19, where she was jumped by multiple students & she had to be air lifted to MUSC Children’s Hospital, and poor RaNiya passed away two days later.
RaNiya’s school district’s Facebook page issued a short statement about her death. “We are devastated by this news, and we want our communities to keep their thoughts and prayers with the student’s family at this time,” the post read.
A GoFundMe has been set up for the family to help with funeral and other post-death-related expenses. If you would like to help & donate… I’m sure the family would really appreciate it. No parent should have to deal with something like this. We send our kids to school thinking they will be safe. I honestly think each child involved should be prosecuted & I think the school should be charged in civil court. Where were the teachers when all this was going down?
Ear Kandy Radio sends our condolences to the family! Rest in Paradise beautiful RaNiya Wright… Gone too soon.
