Akron Juvenile Suspects In Custody For Quadruple Shooting

Akron, OH – Three juvenile suspects are in custody after a quadruple shooting (one being fatal) which occurred on June 26, 2019 in a South Akron home. Police say the three teens broke into a home on the 900 block of Rowe Street in Akron & shot four people (one being a 12 year old shot in the stomach), also killing one of the victims (Brandon Varner, 34). The surviving victims are expected to recover.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force confirmed they arrested M. Felder, 17 and L. Poole, 16 (not mentioning their full names due to them being minors) in Canton, OH (near the 1100 block of Baker St. SE), and were placed into the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.

They both had active warrants for burglary and murder, and there was a firearm found at the residence where they were arrested. Ballistics have not been run to determine if that was the murder weapon yet. Thankfully, the young men were arrested without incident, as we must remember all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
The third suspect in the home invasion, Z.Carter, 17, was arrested and taken into custody on unrelated charges.
The police received a tip which led them to look for the suspects in Stark County. The Akron Police Department and the Fugitive Task Force worked closely together to bring the victims to justice.
I for one feel sorry for all the victims, as well as the accused! Those boys are so young and they have their whole lives to live. Such a stupid decision could cost them their freedom forever.
