Akron, OH – Gunshots were fired in the Firestone Park area late last night (around 11:30 p.m) and left a 17-year old male with a gunshot wound to the face. He was sitting his an upstairs bedroom, in the 1100 block of Ericsson Avenue, when he heard shots and was struck by a bullet which passed though the wall.
He was taken to Akron Summa City Hospital to be treated for his wounds. Two other men arrived at the same hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries suspected to be from the same incident. Police were still on the scene, completing their investigation.
This shooting is still under investigation. Thankfully this was not a fatal shooting! I truly wish people would wake up and realize that bullets do not have a name on it. Those bullets can hit anybody. Prayers to all the victims for a full recovery.
