Akron Teens Sentenced To LIFE In Prison

Akron, OH – Two teens were sentenced to life in prison for a fatal shooting that left 18-year-old Shpetim Ramadani dead. They will be eligible for parole after serving 15 years in prison.

The victim, Ramadani, was riding in the back seat of his friend’s car on February 13, 2018 when the shooting took place.
John Smith, 17, and Tyler Morgan, 19, we both charged with one count of murder, along with a gun specification and they both plead no contest to the charges. Judge McClaughlin accepted their plea and found them both guilty.
When Smith and Morgan committed the crime, they were only 16 years old, but they were bound over from Juvenile Court to Summit County Court of Common Pleas and charged as adults.
