Akron, OH – Another death is under investigation, and this is the 4th homicide in the city, in just a short span of five days.
Akron Police received a call around 5:00 PM on Tuesday for a body found near the train tracks in the 900 block of West Wilbeth Rd. According to the Medical Examiner’s, the 22-year-old woman was found with an obvious gunshot wound, and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The woman has not yet been identified. As stated above, this is the 4th murder in five short days. Akron’s homicide rate is up 50%.
