Atlanta, GA – A fatal car crash is being investigated after an infant child dies.
Police officers responded to the accident on Chappell Rd. in northwest Atlanta. The two-vehicle crash involved a woman (the child’s mother) and a man (the child’s father). Upon arrival, authorities reported the child and her father were both seriously injured inside of the car.
The two were taken to the hospital, where three month old, infant little girl (Kh’Undra) passed away and the father was able to be stabilized.
Detectives believe the father, 27 year-old Undra Henderson, put their daughter inside his car and drove away, when the mother chased them and purposely hit his vehicle with hers multiple times. The mother, 21 year-old Titayanna Phillips, has been detained and the case is being investigated. She is facing felony murder and aggravated assault by vehicle charges.
Just a few days ago, Phillips was accused of kidnapping her daughter from a health clinic, and ran out to a car waiting on them. She did not have custody of their daughter. The police report stated Phillips has an ongoing case with the Dept. of Children Services due to mental and physical health issues, which remain unresolved.
