20+ Felony Friendly/ No Experience Needed Jobs Available In Akron, OH
Securing a new job and dealing with potential new employers as a felon with a criminal record is sometimes overwhelming. Especially if you’re actively looking and nobody is calling you back. You have to deal with the constant pressure from family members telling you to “just get a job” or your friends telling you that “everyone is hiring” as if you haven’t been trying. I know it can get embarrassing and frustrating, but don’t give up.
Or what about the people with little to no experience in the job field? I’ve also seen people be denied for positions they have completed training programs for because they have no experience. Being able to highlight the skills you do possess, being prepared and making sure the interviewer remembers you is very important. Check out this article on: >>> How to nail the interview with lack of experience.
When filling out the application, I know you always debate if you should tell them the truth about your felony/ lack of experience or not. Those who are honest may feel like they never even get a chance. Then ex-offenders who lie on a job application may get hired, but then fired if their criminal record becomes known. I know it sounds corny, but honesty is usually the best policy… you just have to know how to get your point across to make you look good.

Now that you know how to explain your felony to your new potential employer, here is a list of employers/positions (located in or within 10 miles of Akron, OH) who are encouraging people with criminal backgrounds and/or little to no experience to apply and claim to fire felons. All these jobs have been posted within the last 15 days. I know the starting pay is not the best, but sometimes you just need to get your foot in the door and a better opportunity will become available within the company or even with another company. For some reason I’ve noticed people seem to be more desirable to employers when they are already employed.
