Capital Gazette Newspaper Shooting!! Multiple Deaths & Injuries…

Can you imagine being at work, thinking it was just going to be a regular day at the office and next thing you know, there is somebody there firing shots through the glass?!  Well I hate to have to report on this, but this was the case for the employees at the Capital Gazette Newspaper in Maryland.  Another mass shooting in America!

At the news conference, police said a suspect is in custody but they have not released any names or pictures of the suspect yet. Three senior law enforcement officials who were briefed on the shooting, which began around 2:40 p.m., said the gunman is a white man.  They said it is believed that he used a shotgun, but the police would also not identify the gun used.  Frashure confirmed that authorities arrived on scene within 60 seconds of receiving a call about the shooting.  Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley praised law enforcement for their response saying, if they “were not there as quickly as they were it could have been a lot worse.”

Phil Davis, a Gazette crime reporter who was in the building, recounted the shooting on Twitter.

“Gunman shot through the glass door to the office and opened fire on multiple employees,” Davis said. “Can’t say much more and don’t want to declare anyone dead, but it’s bad.”

Initially police and first responders were reporting there were five deaths, but now they are saying that the number of five deaths is not accurate (via MSNBC live) but they are not confirming if the number is more or less.  This story is still very new, it just happened a few hours ago, and it is still developing.  They are also trying to find out what the motive was as well.

Prayers going out to all the families who lost their lives, or a loved one… also anybody injured.  President Donald Trump has been briefed about the shooting, the White House said.
