Drive-By Shooter Hits Teen In Akron

Akron, OH – An 18-year old reports he was shot Monday 7-8-19, while he was driving in his car in the Goodyear Heights area.

He says he was driving with his girlfriend around the area of Fuller Street and Second Avenue around 1:00 p.m. when “an unknown person in an unknown vehicle started shooting at me and hit me in my ankle.” He then drove himself to Summa Akron City Hospital.

Thankfully, his girlfriend was not hit, and the injuries sustained were not life threatening. Akron detectives are asking for people to call in with any tips.
