From Snoop Dogg to Father Snoop?

Remember the tea I spilled about Snoop Dog making a gospel album? Yes you read that right. Snoop Dog is making a gospel album titled “Bible of Love” and he just released his first music video for his single “Words Are Few”. The song features former gospel artist Tonex, also known as B.Slade, who helped produced the album. The video takes place in a church and the song itself features lyrics such as,

No bitches, please
Ain’t no rest for my soul til’ I come clean
I’ll hear from the lord if I speak
So back off and let me eat, let me feast.

While this is his only music video so far, 4 other songs of the 32 track album have already been released. The four new songs include: “Blessed & Highly Favored” featuring the Clark Sisters, “You” featuring Tye Tribbett,”Blessing Me Again” featuring Rance Allen and “Saved” featuring Faith Evans. The full album is set to debut on March 16th.

Now I’m not sure about how y’all feel about this but I think lyrics about bitches and weed in a “gospel” song are crossing a line that I didn’t even know could be crossed.

Is Snoop just bored or does he actually have a passion for gospel music?
