LA Mayor Cuts $150M Worth Of Funding To Cops & Allocates To Black Communities

Los Angeles – LA Mayor, Eric Garcetti, has promised to cut $150 Million from the city’s police budget and allocate it to the communities of color.

During a press conference, Garcetti mentioned how he was committed to making this moment not just a moment! He said it is time to move our rhetoric towards action to end racism in our city.

He also vows officers will be required to report any type of misconduct going forward and to intervene when they witness other officers displaying excessive force.

Garcetti took a knee while praying with the religious leaders at one of the press conferences yesterday.

‘Today we intrduced a motion to cut funding to the LAPD, as we reset our priorities in the wake of the murder of #GeorgeFloyd & the #BlackLivesMatter call that we all support to end racism [sic],’

‘This is just one small step. We cannot talk about change, we have to be about change.’
