LeBron James passes Kobe

The Laker’s lost this past weekend to the 76ers, 108-91, but it wasn’t a loss for all Laker players.

LeBron James, entered the game just 18 points shy of becoming the NBA’s all-time scoring list, passing Kobe Bryant.

He played that night’s game in his black and gold sneakers he decorated with Kobe’s initials, jersey number and nickname, Mamba. Not knowing that shortly after, Kobe who was in attendance would later be killed in a helicopter crash. [Article Below]

After the game, LeBron, 35 finished with 29 points putting his career at a total of 33,655. Kobe finished his with 33,643 points. With no major signs of slowing down in his career, James averages more than 25 points for the 16th consecutive seasons, and played in all but 2 games this current season.

As LeBron finishes the remaining 2 seasons of his contract with the Lakers, he proved that he has years left in him to actually become the greatest of all time. He has expressed his desire to share the NBA court with his oldest son, LeBron James Jr., 15.

Karl Malone holds second on NBA scoring list with 36,928 points and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 38,387. No pressure, but that puts LeBron 3273 points away from second and 4732 points away from being first.
