Natural, Home Remedies You Should Know

Common Cold

On an average, an adult experience 2 – 3 episodes of cold per year whereas a child may have 6 – 10. Cold is one of the leading causes for the most number of doctor visits. 

The Fix – Boil seven Tablespoons of ginger in three cups of water for about 15 minutes.  Let it cool down & you can add a few drops of honey and/or lemon for taste (optional straining of the ginger).  Drink this mixture two times a day.

 

Fever

Body’s natural way to protect you against infections.

The Fix – Cut two cloves of garlic and boil in one cup of water for ten minutes.  Strain the mixture and sip on it (the hotter you can stand it, the better).  Drink this mixture two times a day.

 

Headache

Stress is the most common reason for getting a headache.

The Fix – Take fresh betel leaves and grind them with a few drops of water to make a smooth paste.  Apply the betel leaves the paste on your forehead and temples to relieve a headache.

 

Stomach Ache

The most common reason is due to either indigestion or food poisoning, however; there can be an underlying reason if they are reoccurring and you should consult with a doctor.

The Fix – Freshly squeeze the juice of two lemons in a cup of water.  Grind up a piece of ginger and add it to the mix along with a pinch of black salt.

 

Back Pain 

Most back pains fade away within a month but if it lasts for three months or more, it is chronic and requires proper medical care.  Never take back pain lightly!

The Fix – Exercising is the best remedy for back pain.  Walking 20-30 minutes 3x/day will help prevent back pain.  Also…  try boiling 10 fresh basil leaves in a cup of water for about 10 minutes.  Let it boil down half way then strain the mixture, let cool & drink 2-3x/day.
