Okay, so! I KNOW yall heard about the whole NYFW frenzy with our top hottest females in the game right now, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj this past weekend. If you didn’t? I’ll give you a brief summary to catch you up! Now, earlier this afternoon, Nicki Minaj aired Queen Radio on Apple Music and let’s just say not only did she break her silence and discuss the fight but um yeah , she made sure to bring her receipts!
So! As we all know this past Friday, was the fashion week party referred to as Harper’s Bazaar Icon bash. In many videos, Cardi B was seen lunging towards Minaj before throwing a shoe at the rapper as their security teams rush to break it up. Sources did confirm that it was the two hip-hop artists involved in the melee, which happened just as the red carpet shuttered. Cardi B was later photographed with a large bruise above her right eye as she left the party. The back of her dress was also torn. it was later confirmed that Cardi B’s bump on her forehead was the result of an elbow from one of Minaj’s security guards.
Now, I will say Nicki did start the show being shady! But, she did NOT come to play with yall! Nicki started off the show by calling 6ix9ine, who she collaborated with on “FEFE.” Before hopping off the show, 6ix9ine made a point about how people “can’t compare who been in the game ten years plus” to someone who just started their career, seemingly referring to comparisons between Nicki and Cardi B. Nicki then played a recording of Cardi from a video interview with Fader. In the interview, Cardi says “nothing is off limits” when it comes to feuding with people, not even their kids. You can watch the interview below:
She later brought on a woman who claimed Cardi B called her dead child a monkey on Instagram. She also referenced the two women who are reportedly planning to sue Cardi for allegedly ordering a physical attacks on them. Nicki then called Cardi out on her former use of the word “roaches” to refer to darker skinned black women. Nicki referred to the incident to be “mortifying and humiliating” especially considering it took place in front of “upper echelon people who have their lives together.” Nicki did address to accusations of her making remarks about Cardi’s daughter Kulture which she denied. “I would never talk about anyone’s child or anyone’s parenting,” she continued. “And it’s so crazy to me that people always need to make Onika the bad guy…I am not a clown. That’s clown shit.” Nicki said Cardi’s claims that she talked negatively Cardi’s parenting and is stopping her bags is also completely false. “You knew that when that footage came out you would look dumb,” she said, explaining why Cardi and her team would make up the accusation. “I didn’t even feel the need to defend myself that night.. She has built her career off of sympathy and payola.” “You came into my f—in culture. I never had to bang a DJ to play my songs. You call black women roaches. Real bitches never attack a woman. You’re angry and you’re sad. This is not funny. Get this woman some f—in help. This woman’s at the highest point in her career and she’s throwing shoes?”
Nick also stated, “I’m not one of these bitches in the strip club or on a reality show. My money is very fucking long too.” Much later in the program, she said, “I have no beef with Offset, but I have to be a voice for these women.” Listen to “Queen Radio” live on Beats 1.
