We can finally get our hair and nails done and also eat at a restaurant on May 15th and May 21st. It feels like its been forever. Gov. DeWine’s reopening plan below. Will you be making an appointment and dining out ASAP or proceeding with caution?
Gov. DeWine announced the reopening dates for restaurants, bars and personal care businesses such as hair salons and barbershops during his daily briefing on Thursday.
“For the last week or so, we’ve talked about how we need to do two things at once: bring back the economy and stay safe. We are Ohioans. We can do it. How we open up is so very, very important. The how is an essential part of how successful we’re going to be,” he said.
Barbershops, hair salons, day spas and nail salons will be able to reopen May 15.
Debbie Pezone, president and CEO of Charles Penzone Salons and the chair of the salon and barbershop working group commissioned by the governor, said barbers and stylists will wear masks and customers will be asked to wear them.
DeWine then announced restaurants and bars can reopen for outside dining on May 15 followed by inside dining on May 21.
These businesses reopening will come with limits, including parties of 10 or fewer and space between tables either by 6 feet of distance or a barrier.
Sounds like long lines and packed salons will be our new normal.
