Pope Francis Slaps Lady’s Hand Away & Apologizes After Going Viral

Pope Francis is the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State. He has been trending on social media because of an “altercation” involving him and another woman during the Vatican’s giant Nativity scene on New Year’s Eve.
Pope Francis reached out as he was trying to greet a child, and the unidentified woman grabbed his hand (from behind a barrier) and pulled him closer to her. She would not let go of his hand, so he slapped her hand away. Take a look at the video below.
I think a lot of times, we put these spiritual leaders and even celebrities above actually being a human. What would you do if somebody grabbed your hand and wouldn’t let it go??

Well Pope Francis did feel bad about the situation and he issued an apology during his St. Peter’s Square address…
“Love makes us patient.
So many times we lose patience.
Me, too
I say ‘excuse me’ for the bad example.
Women are sources of life. Yet they are continually insulted, beaten, raped, forced to prostitute themselves, and to suppress the life they bear in the womb. Every form of violence inflicted upon a woman is a blasphemy against God, who was born of a woman.”
