Get ready cool cats and kittens, the infamous “Tiger King” nemesis is roaring her way onto the dance floor in the new season of “Dancing with the Stars.”
Carole Baskin was among several announced as contestants on the upcoming season of the hit dance competition series. Also joining the cast is rapper Nelly, A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys, Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir and “Selling Sunset” real estate agent Chrishell Stause.
The 2020 Dancing With the Stars cast has been revealed, and it includes none other than Tiger King star Carole Baskin. Yes, you read that correctly: The coolest kitten herself is hitting the dance floor next season.
For those who need a refresher on the insanity that was Netflix’s docuseries Tiger King, it centered on zookeeper Joe Exotic, who Baskin, a conservationist, accused of animal exploitation. Joe had a particularly strong vendetta against Baskin and was eventually charged with hiring someone to murder her. (He is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence.)
Baskin also emerged as a key figure in the series, thanks to her eccentric wardrobe, “cool cats and kittens” catchphrase, and the mystery surrounding her former husband Don Lewis’s disappearance. She will certainly get people to tune in.
The internet is already talking about the casting. Below, just some reactions to Baskin joining DWTS.
Tyra Banks will host this year’s season, which kicks off September 14 at 8 p.m. E.T. on ABC. Don’t miss it! This new season, along with new host and cast should be memorable.
