Woman Plead “Insanity” After Killing Her Three Baby Girls… The Judge Rules!

Carol Ann Cornado, 32, has just been sentenced for the murder of he three daughters, after pleading she was insane at the time.
Her husband, Rodolfo “Rudy” Cornado, says he was working on his truck across the street from the house. When he walked into the house, his two-year-old daughter, Sophia, was running around without her diaper on. Poop was smeared everywhere (carpet, walls and Sophia’s hands) while his wife was just laying in the bed with a blank look on her face.

Rudy scolded his wife and told her to clean up the mess and went back outside to finish working on his truck. He knew Carol’s mother would be there any minute because she came over after she was off work to help her daughter with the kids (& she arrived moments later).
Carol’s mother ran out the house screaming not to go inside the house. Rudy ran into the house to find all three of his girls had been murdered by their mother (Sohia, 2 year old, Yazmine, 16 months old and Xenia, who was only three months old). The older girls throats were slit and she hit the youngest one in the head with a hammer.

Once Rudy saw what was going on, Carol rammed the knife into her own chest… but she did not pass away. She was placed on trial for the heinous crimes she committed and she never even took responsibility! She claimed she didn’t remember what happened at all and pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Her defense team claimed she was suffering from postpartum depression and psychosis and she was not in her right state of mind. Her husband actually testified in her defense , saying she was acting weird the days prior to the murders.

Judge Ricardo Ocamp ruled Carol was sane during the murders and sentenced her to three consecutive life sentences WITHOUT the possibility of parole. Her defense prepared an appeal… which did not help because they cited the fact that she used four different knives and a hammer to slaughter her children.
I think justice was served! Death would have been too easy for her… that’s what she wanted anyway! Poor babies…
