“Bill Cosby took my beautiful, healthy young
spirit and crushed it.”
Today was a sad day for Bill Cosby, his family, friends & fans as he was sentenced in court for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand almost 15 years ago. Cosby was sentenced to 3-10 years in jail. The prosecutors were asking for him to be sentenced to the maximum of 10 years. Prior to sentencing, Judge Steven T. O’Neill upheld a state board’s finding that Mr. Cosby is a sexually violent predator. This means he will have to register as a sexual offender & notifications will go out to his neighbors regarding his status for the rest of his life.
Remind you, Bill Cosby is 81 years old and he is nearly blind. Not trying to make light of the situation in any way! Being a sexual assault victim myself, I do sympathize with Andrea. I just question the motives and the truthfulness of the story. I remember hearing about Bill Cosby trying to start his own television network, then next thing you know he was hit with rape charges.
There were other women present in the courtroom for the sentencing. When Andrea came out with the rape allegations, over a dozen other women came forward saying Cosby also assaulted them. A lot of them were there. The court released Andrea Constand’s full victim statement.
“It is time for justice, Mr. Cosby, this has all circled back to you,” Judge O’Neill said. “The day has come. The time has come.”
